Nature’s Farm Pasta

Nature’s Pasta™ is the result of our commitment to excellence and our family tradition of producing only the highest quality food products using the very best ingredients. We only use world–famous Canadian durum wheat and our farm-fresh free-run eggs (from hens fed an all–natural vegetarian diet) to bring you outstanding flavour. Strict adherence to old–world, small–batch production methods has created gourmet pasta that continues to set new standards in taste, texture, and quality.

Favoured by chefs and discerning restaurateurs, Nature’s Pasta™ appears on the menus of some of North America’s best eating establishments. We have also worked closely with award–winning chefs to produce custom pastas, using specialty grains such as spelt and various natural flavourings. To meet the demands of discriminating pasta connoisseurs, we also sell Nature’s Pasta™ through several specialty food wholesalers in the U.S. and select retail food outlets in Canada and the U.S.


Classic

Our original pasta, made in small batches from world–famous Canadian durum wheat and our farm–fresh, free–run eggs is flavour–rich and comes in a natural semolina color. Several additional all–natural flavours and colours are available, including sun–dried tomato (pomodoro red), spinach (spinaci verdi/green), beet (bietola burgundy), wild rice, black pepper, and squid–ink (calamaro black). In addition, we feature seasonal pastas designed to bring special creativity and excitement to your table. Our current offerings are listed below.

   
 
   
 

Organic

In response to customer demand, we developed our organic product line in 2004. Working closely with renowned chefs, we adapted our established pasta–making recipes, ingredients, and methods to meet the demands of this ultra–premium gourmet selection. Like our Classic line, Nature’s Pasta™ Organic is made in small batches, but from certified organic Canadian durum wheat and our farm–fresh organic free–run eggs, naturally enriched with Omega–3. Organic certification (including verification of all supplier sources) is provided by Quality Assurance International, an internationally recognized certifier of organic food systems and products. Solid brass extrusion dies provide the Organic line with a lightly textured surface (less “glossy” than our Classic line) providing outstanding flavour adherence for pasta sauces, aromatic dressings, and herbal oils.

Nature’s Pasta – Our Traditional Shapes and Widths

Capelli D’Angelo
Our classic angel–hair, generally used in soups, and also great in stir–fries.
  Conchiglie
Medium sized shells – use in soups or with meat sauce, similar to fusilli corti.
  Fettuccine Nidi
Nests of our classic fettuccine – thin and elegant, perfect for cream sauces.
 
Fusilli Corti
Short twists, use with ragu, ricotta sauces – a standard shape for salads.
  Lasagne, Short Cut
Thin, flat lasagne is as delicate as homemade. No pre–cooking required. Pre–blanched, it can be used for a variety of filled and wrapped shapes.
  Linguine Nidi
Linguine in nests, narrower than fettuccine, but for similar uses and slightly lighter sauces.
 
Orzo
A tiny pasta shape that resembles large grains of rice – ideal for vegetable or thin soups.
  Pappardelle Nidi
The name pappardelle derives from the verb “pappare” – to gobble up. These nested ribbons are about 25mm/0.984251” wide and are best used with cream sauces or other sumptuous sauces.
  Penne Rigate
Ridged penne are designed to take oil or butter–based sauces, meat or vegetable creations, and cheese sauces.
 
Spaghetti a la Chitarra Nidi
Spaghetti in nests with a twist – the strands are square.
  Tagliatelle
Very thin, delicate, flat noodles (thin enough to see through when held up to the light). Tagliatelle is thinner and slightly wider than fettuccine.
  Tagliatellini
The same as tagliatelle, in a more contemporary width.
 
Vermicelli Nidi
Nests of our fine, delicate vermicelli strands for light, stock-based sauces.

  • Quality Processing – Nature’s Pasta™ is processed in small batches and slow–dried to maintain the properties of a true homemade–style fresh pasta with unique flavours and shapes

  • Convenience – Portion control is automatically provided (30g/1 oz.nests) and no–refrigeration storage is required

  • Cooking Time – Due to a higher percentage of eggs in our pasta, cooking time is similar to fresh pasta, however, Nature’s Pasta™ provides a longer critical cooking period (and is harder to overcook as a result)
